My Story

I came to coaching through the gaps. I spent years working as an Agile Coach - embedded inside technology teams, facilitating retrospectives, coaching people through change, trying to make work feel more human. I was familiar with the process side. But what I kept noticing was that the most meaningful moments had more to do with people.

The 1-to-1 conversations after the meeting ended.

The moment someone finally named what they'd been carrying.

The look on a face when a reframe landed.

The quiet courage it takes to say: I'm not okay, and I don't know why.

That's what drew me deeper into psychology, Transactional Analysis, into the study of how human beings actually change. I'm training as a counsellor and psychotherapist, and everything I learn makes me more convinced that the work worth doing happens below the surface.

Dasein is a word from Heidegger — literally "being there," the irreducible experience of being a conscious person in the world. It felt right. Because that's what I'm interested in. Not your job title, not your five-year plan, but you in the here and now.

How I work

My coaching draws on Transactional Analysis, somatic awareness, and positive psychology. Sessions are not about fixing you. They're about helping you see yourself clearly enough that you can make the choices that are actually yours to make.

I grew up in Tennessee and spent the early part of my career in the US before finding my way to the UK and to the work that actually fits.

That winding path matters to me. I know what it feels like to be competent in a role that doesn't quite fit, to suspect there's something more aligned waiting, and to not quite know how to get there.

That's part of what I bring to career transition work.

Outside of coaching I'm drawn to the same questions that underpin this work: psychology, philosophy, how human beings make meaning in uncertain times.

Depth over speed

Real change takes time and it starts underneath. We work with patterns, not just problems . We will find what's driving the situation, not just naming the situation itself.

The body as partner

Burnout, anxiety and being stuck all live in the body before they show up in the mind. Sessions include somatic awareness, noticing what your body is trying to tell you.

"Holly has amazing relational intelligence and warmth. She has been instrumental in bringing both positivity to the team through genuinely difficult times. Her ability to tune into the emotional pulse of a group and offer consistent support is rare, and her insights into people and how to get the best out of them are often more accurate than people realise."

Warmth and honesty

I will always be in your corner. That doesn't mean I'll agree with everything you tell yourself. The most useful thing I can offer is honest, compassionate reflection.
